Indira Gandhi National Udaan Academy, Igrua was established on 7 November 1985 by the then Honorable Prime Minister, late Captain Rajiv Gandhi.
The Indira Gandhi National Aviation Academy is an autonomous body under the control of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, located at a place called Fursatganj in Amethi district in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The Governing Council is the supreme body of this organization and the Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation is the head of this Governing Council.

Qualifications
Flight Instructor - Total Flying –1000 hrs, Total Instructional Flying –500 hrs
Holding Valid CPL, IR, FIR(A), FRTOL, RTRValid Class-1 Medical Or Ex-Armed Forces Pilot– QFI with Valid CPL/ATPL with FIR(A) and Valid Class-1Medical
Drone Instructor - Certification/Approval from DGCA as Master Trainer (Drone)
English Language Proficiency Instructor - Master Degree in English
Training Manager (For AME School) - Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification in the field of Aeronautical/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrument Engineering.or Basic license (BAMEL)/ equivalent modules in a stream (B1 or B2) related to scope of approval or Type rated license either in B1 or B2 Category.
Accounts Officer - CA/ICWA with 3 years experience preferably in a Public Sector Undertaking
Battery Shop In-charge - Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in the Avionics Stream from any DGCA approved AME Institute.
BAMEL/BAMEEC in ES is mandatory and preference will be given to those holding ES, IS &RN
Experience
English Language Proficiency Instructor - Have at least 3 years teaching experience preferably in an Aviation English programme, or English for specific purpose teaching or Teaching English as Foreign/Second language.
Training Manager (For AME School) - Minimum 15 years of aviation experience out of which 10 years as a post holder (Chief Instructor/ Training Manager) in DGCA Approved CAT. G / CAR 147 (Basic Maintenance Training Organization).Undergone train the trainer or instructor’s teaching technique course.
Battery Shop In-charge - Minimum 6 years general aviation experience including
2 ½ yrs training in any DGCA approved AME Institute.
Desirable
English Language Proficiency Instructor - In-depth knowledge of Doc 9835 and ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements – Rated Speech Samples (CD).
Training Manager (For AME School) - Should be familiar
with class room advance teaching techniques.5.10 years in handling accounts / finance / statutory compliance / filing of returns etc in Government / autonomous bodies.Possess knowledge of accounting software such as Tally etc.
Accounts Officer - Knowledge of accounting system followed in Government offices. Familiarisation with GST.
